Lady GaGa at MTV Video Music Awards 2011

Sunday night was the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards with Lady GaGa being the opening act. GaGa completely shocked the world with her appereance.

Before the VMA'S even started she was the most tweeted artist of the night. One of the other top topics trending on Twitter was #whatwillgagawear.

Everyone tweeted their guesses. A few tweets were: Bacon & eggs with steak heels, a dress with blood spilled on it, a dress made of stuffed animals, many said she wouldn't even wear anything at all!

Here's how the show went:

GaGa came out onto the stage smoking a cigarette. However, "GaGa" was not their, instead "Jo Calderone" was their. Jo is Lady GaGa's alter ego who was introduced in her video 'You and I.' The crowd seemed shocked to see GaGa as Jo.

It was clearly seen that Jo has a mouth on "him."

From saying almost every word to the book and talking about having sex with "GaGa," Jo then performed 'You and I' with Brian May as the guitarist. To finish off the song "Jo" stood up ontop of the pinao and then jumped off. It seemed MTV tried cutting out the end since GaGa fell when she landed on the floor.

After the performance GaGa won 2 awards. Her song 'Born This Way' won both Best Female Video and Best Video With A Message. Jo accepted the awards on behalf of GaGa stating she couldn't make it.

It's clear that "Jo" will be talked about for awhile just like Mother Monster's meat dress at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.

Lady GaGa Wins VH1 Do Something Facebook Award

Lady Gaga took home a silver shoe from the VH1 Do Something Awards, where she won the award for Do Something Facebook honoring her work with The Robin Hood Foundation.

Lady GaGa Says Her Music Keeps Her Single

Lady GaGa has always told us about her love for music and her performances. She is of course on of the hardest working artist in the business.
She told Asia’s Star TV, “I would die without it music, and I could never be reborn."

Mother Monster is deeply in love with her Little Monsters. She would put her life in danger just to make sure her fans are always blown away. She has fought against exhaustion just so then she can get up on the stage and give her Little Monsters what they paid to see. "My biggest fear is missing out on a creative idea because of a lack of time.”

GaGa has been in a long term on and off-again relationship with Luc Carl. A boy she admits she loves, and he is her best friend. Several of her songs were inspired by Luc.

She is constantly on the move which makes it nearly impossible to dedicate herself to a meaningful relationship. She knows exactly what she is doing. “I’m supposed to be lonely, I am an artist,” the singer said. In fact, her solitude and loneliness helps inspire her music. She opened up about her way of thinking, “We wallow in loneliness and solitude our whole lives in search of the answer to hundreds and millions of questions that run through my mind.”

Will Lady GaGa Ever Run For President?

Lady GaGa has never been one to be quiet on her opinions on her political views.

She's spoken out for same sex marriage and is against "Don't Ask Don't Tell"

During the live interview of 'MTV First Look: Lady GaGa' she stated she has no aspirations to ever do something like become president, even if she was given a free pass for the day to be the leader of the free world.

"Well, first of all, I wouldn't want to be president for the day," she told MTV News. "And I say that because I really, for myself, it's important that my message, although it has political implications, I like to keep myself separate.
"Because politics can constrain things," she continued. "So our message can be completely free of any politics and we can just surge forward."

"I would find alternative uses of energy, I would make marriage equal," she said, before taking a second to figure out her next pet cause. "And world peace. Well, I would do everything I could with the debt crisis, but we all know that's going to take a little while."

During the sit-down, Gaga also opened up about her just-released music video for 'You and I' and also shared with fans that not only would she be performing at the 2011 Video Music Awards on August 28, but she'll also be the artist opening the show when it airs live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

Madonna's Publicist Commends Lady GaGa For Doing More Then Madonna!

Liz Rosenberg has been on Madonna's side for many, many, many, many years.

In a recent interview, she was asked about the raise of Mother Monster, Lady GaGa

“When Lady GaGa's record came out and she was doing TV all over the world, I would say it’s five times more than Madonna did. If they’re not saying ‘You’re overexposed,’ then you’re not doing your job. The appetite is insatiable. It’s way more extreme than it used to be on the wardrobe part. Some divas work directly with couture designers; some have stylists who pick out their clothes. Any way you look at it, fans expect much more. They used to just expect a great record and maybe a little press. The revelation of a lot of their lives is amped up these days. Drama, though, doesn’t always equate with commercial success.”

Lady GaGa VMA Promo features Blood, Heels, and Nails

Lady GaGa released her VMA Promo on August 19, 2011 which featured a jazzy braless version of her new single 'You and I'

Following the night before when she released she would open the VMA, Mother Monster released another promo.

This promo is about a minute long and featured her song from her 'Born This Way' album known as 'Government Hooker.' In the clips full of black and white nails, GaGa writes her name in blood with her nails. The same nails are then seen with blood dripping from them a few shots later.

The silhouette of the skeleton from the ‘Born This Way’ video makes its reprise for a moment.

What will GaGa wear this year as she kicks off the 2011 VMA's?

Lady GaGa To Play Amy Winehouse In Film?

Rumors about late singer Amy Winehouse have swirled since her death three weeks ago, ranging from the fact that she was about to adopt a daughter to the suggestion that she partied hard and purchased even harder drugs the night before her death. The latest Winehouse rumor involves Lady Gaga, with the UK’s Daily Star reporting that Gaga is engaged in secret discussions to portray Winehouse in a film about the late singer’s life.Since Winehouse’s death on July 23 has become such a hot topic, Hollywood execs are looking to fast track a film about the ‘Rehab’ singer and they allegedly think that Gaga would be the perfect person to portray Winehouse on the big screen. Keep in mind that the Academy loves a biopic, so if this news actually turns out to be real and eventually yields a film, we bet Gaga could nab an Oscar nomination. But we’re thinking really far into the future with that kinda talk.
A source claims that Gaga “worshipped” Winehouse and would jump at the chance to play her. While we don’t doubt that Gaga could rock a disheveled black beehive and extreme black eyeliner and we’d love to hear her belt out Winehouse’s hits like ‘Rehab,’ this sounds like the work of gossipy busybodies.
While the source also said that “Gaga has been itching to make the transition from music into movies and sees this as the ideal role to launch her film career,” we’re a bit skeptical here at PopCrush. We don’t doubt that Gaga has been inundated with scripts for potential film roles, but the Mother Monster herself has not said anything in the press about stepping into Winehouse’s ballet flats in a movie. She did discuss her warm feelings about Winehouse when she sat on the panel for the morning gabfest ‘The View‘ a while back.

"I Think She's Going To Become As Big As Elvis"

Tony Bennet is ready to release his new album 'Duets II' on September 20. He opened up about he's duet with International Pop Senation, Lady GaGa.
Bennet and GaGa took on the classic 'Lady Is A Tramp' and the 85-year old singer was blown away with the talent of Lady GaGa.
“I never met a more talented person in my life,” he told Billboard. “I think she’s going to become as big as Elvis Presley.”
Tony Bennets new album will also feature the rendition of ‘Body and Soul,’ the first posthumous release by Amy Winehouse.
“I can’t tell you how professional every one of them was, and how they worked and memorized and knew what they were going to do,” he says of all the collaborations. “And it shows up on the record, you know? You can hear them performing very well for us.”
